These cookies are a great way to add some color and flavor to your holiday season. Plus they are so easy!


Jello Cookies, the cookie of many colors


1/2 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

3 1/4 cup Flour

1 tsp Baking Powder

1/2 tsp Baking Soda

1/4 tsp Cream of Tarter

4 (3oz) boxed of different flavored Jello

1/2 cup sugar (optional)


Cream sugar, butter, and vanilla. Mix in dry ingredients. Split dough into four bowls. Mix one box of Jello into each bowl. Chill dough for one hour.


Roll dough out to 1/2 in thick and cut with your favorite holiday cookie cutters. If you don't want to roll and cut out your cookies, then roll dough into 1" balls, roll in sugar, press balls with the bottom of a jar to flatten slightly. Place on a cookie sheet and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly golden edges.
