Mulch can be a huge help in the garden and on the homestead. This year our goal is to mulch everywhere we can and build a few paths in the process. Mulch can be organic or non-organic. I do recommend organic when it comes to placing mulch in your garden. I explain further in my eBook, Dirt: Find the Solution to Building Soil Health! Now you may be thinking that organic has to be expensive like organic food. But what I mean is organic as "made from plant material". You have many options like:

Newspaper

Cardboard

Wood Chips

Shavings

Grass Clippings
