You are a Grower

and you thought all you needed to do was grow homegrown food for your family to get the benefits of healthy food everyday.

And now you are struggling to answer this simple question.

How do I get that delicious food from my garden on my family's plates?

Growing is only the first step to providing your family with healthy food. The next bigger step is to harvest that homegrown deliciousness. This step can feel overwhelming and just down right stressful.

Just imagine standing in your garden staring at your green beans that you have grown for the first time. You notice that a few pods look big and bulging.

Wait there are actually quite a few staring back at you.

In the back of your mind, you ask yourself, “why I didn't notice this before is beyond me.”

You grab a pod, it feels smooth in your hand. You break it open and there are beautiful beans inside. You take a bit. You expect to be juicy and sweet but instead it is dry and doesn’t have much flavor.

Again thoughts race through your mind, “why doesn’t this taste as good as I thought it would? What do I do now? Do all these beans taste this way?”

You look again at your bean plants and grab a less bulging bean pod, you ask, “I don’t know if this one is ready, it feels smaller than the last one.” You break it open, there are beans inside but they are not as bulging as the other ones but you put it in your mouth and take a bite anyways.

Wow, this bean is amazing. It is sweet, tender, and juicy. This is what I want to serve my family. â€‹

Well, I guess I should have not let those other beans get so over ripe that they lost their goodness. Man there are a lot of them I guess I will have to throw those in the compost pile. What a waste.

I sure wish I could have avoided all of this wasted food, especially since I worked so hard to grow these green beans myself. Then overwhelming worries and fears start to set in. â€‹

Stop right there!

It is easy to miss the exact point of harvest especially when your thoughts are only focused on the growing. The truth is that most growers believe that the biggest job they have is just growing and caring for their gardens but in reality it is the harvest.

Isn’t your main goal of growing your own food, to place the best, tastiest, most nutritious food on your family plates?

Hello Fellow Grower,

I am Crystal and I want to help you make a plan for your harvest and beyond!

I have been growing food for my family now for 20 plus years and one of the problems I struggled with was getting the delicious food I grew out of the garden and onto my family's plates.

I would walk through the garden guessing when things were ready to harvest. Thankfully I had chickens to feed my overripe or bolted lettuce and broccoli to.

But the harvest doesn’t have to be all about playing a guessing game, wondering when your green beans are ready to harvest.

The solution is simple, straightforward, and right to the point. You just need to make a plan for your harvest.

Like I told you before, many growers make elaborate plans for growing their food. They know where and when they are going to plant their broccoli. But when it comes to harvesting that same broccoli the thought of picking it before it bolts has never crossed their minds.

And that is because they don’t make a plan for their harvest as well.

But that is not going to be you.

With the right tools, understanding of your produce (it tells you right on your seed packet when you should harvest your green beans) and a little guidance you will be able to stop playing guessing games, stop those overwhelming feelings and thoughts, and start picking your best harvest yet.

Let Me Show You How!

If a busy mom of three boys, a beginner homesteader and first time grower, can learn to do this, then you can do this too!
